STEMHub Africa is a global platform dedicated to bridging the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) gap in Africa. The program leverages strategic partnerships that enhance mentorship and financial inclusion for women and girls in STEM.
Rooted in the Generation Equality commitments and the Sustainable Development Global Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations in 2015, our initiative empowers African young women and girls by promoting their active participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
We recognize the vast potential for innovation in these fields among women and girls in Africa, who often encounter significant barriers to access and success.
STEMHub Africa aims to create a sustainable ecosystem that supports women and youth in STEM through these key objectives:
To facilitate the enrollment of women and youth into reputable international universities for capacity enhancement and higher learning.
To provide mentorship to women and girls in STEM to support their academic and professional growth.
To advance financial inclusion and empowerment to support women and youth in accessing postgraduate and undergraduate studies in STEM fields.
To promote an ethical research ecosystem that encourages integrity, transparency, and accountability in STEM-focused research.
Through our initiatives, we aim to achieve meaningful and measurable outcomes:
Increased representation of women and girls in STEM fields across academic institutions and professional environments in Africa.
Improved academic and professional achievements of participants through targeted support and resources.
Enhanced research capacity and ethical standards in the scientific community throughout the African continent.
Strengthened networks and collaborations among STEM professionals in Africa, creating a supportive community.
Greater financial inclusion and empowerment of women and girls through access to financial resources and opportunities.
